#22 Blue, Turquoise, Green

Thu 18 January 2007

Adam could no longer stand the pinkness of his last hair do. Strangely it looks almost identical to his hair before the last adventure. The pink from 2 Adventures ago had remained under the peacock blue and was now visible again.
Products used:
Directions Midnight Blue
Directions Turquoise
Directions Spring Green

We'll never know why Adam's hair always goes pink but the fact remains that nearly every time his hair is ready for a new colour it's pink. I knew this was going to affect the next colour but since his roots didn't need touched up I couldn't be bothered to bleach the remaining colour out.

It's gone pink again

In the usual 3 colour style I started by applying colour to the roots. The ends were lighter than the roots so I decided the weakest colour, Spring Green, would be best placed there. So, back to the roots. In the picture you can see I've applied Midnight Blue to the root of his hair. I've gone through in small clumps and applied the blue to the base of each bunch.
After that I employed a similar technique to apply the turquoise. Since turquoise is somewhere between blue and green this was the best colour to achieve a smooth gradient. After the turquoise I added Spring Green to the ends and smudged the colours together so there was no demarcation. We allowed this to process for about 45 minutes before rinsing.

Blue is applied to the roots and in small chunks.

Here's how it turned out. The graduation of colours is pretty smooth although the green has been blued a bit. In real life it is slightly more defined.

Blue blends into green
