Adam arrived in his usual state of very washed out colour. Excellent, no bleaching required since his roots were hardly noticeable. He'd had his hair cut and bleached between adventures so there wasn't too much for me to do. I gave his cut a bit of a tidy up in preparation for dyeing.
You can see in the above picture that his hair has a bluish tint, this was left over from a purple and green dye job Adam had had since his last Adventure. Since it was now nearly completely washed out there was no need to bleach.
The products used were:
*Directions Fluorescent Glow
*Directions Plum
*Directions Flamingo Pink
I began by brushing Fluorescent Glow onto two thirds of the length of his hair from the roots outwards. After that I brushed some plum onto all but the ends of the remaining hair. Although I didn't set out to blend them it wasn't a problem if there was some overlap. Yellow and Purple are opposites each other on the colour wheel (remember the hair science article?) so when they mix they tend to go brown. However these two colours went a kind of burnt orange where they mixed giving an interesting effect.
To add a bit more depth to the colour I brushed some Flamingo Pink onto the tips of his hair.
We left it on for about 45 minutes before rinsing off, dried it and spiked with Got2b Glued. Here's the finished 'do!
