I'd just be doing it as a style experiment and for a laugh. My hair's got a bit of a wave to it (After a certain length, it flick out and goes all yukbluk. The guy naturally has quite curly hair). It's shoulder length and layered.

(the one with the dog)

I personally like the first and last styles best, but I'd like info on how to do all of them if that's possible.

Thanks

I'll go answer that over at Yahoo Answers. As of yesterday I've been giving that a go (and hoping to draw a few new folks over to HC).

But basically start by removing the wave. Blow dry the hair straight using a round brush. Pull the hair taught with the brush and blow dry down the length of the hair.
Next to spike I have some instructions on this Adam's Adventure: http://haircrazy.info/Adams/17-the-atomic-experiment/

That's basically how to spike fairly long hair. Once you do it a few times you can vary it.
