Hello all...

About 3 wks ago, I took the plunge and bleached and colored my hair SFX Cherry Bomb. Everyone seems to LOVE this color. I get compliments on it all the time. The pics really don't it justice, but I haven't been able to get some with my "real" digital camera. These are from my cell phone's camera, which is less than ideal!

These were taken last week, so color is about 2 wks old in them. It's holding up well and although my roots are showing, I'm dealing with it prety well. I figure I'll keep this until it fades up bad. I may try to do some sort of a two tone thing once the roots get on my nerves.

Wow it glows! Your hair must grow pretty fast - doesn't seem that long since it was really short. Looks good

I shaved it OFF last summer and have pretty much been growing it out since then. I did a pixie cut for a while, but now I want a bob (again *sigh*). As soon as I get it, I'll probably want something else, though.

I'm also really interested in putting fake dreads in. I think black/red would look awesome.

I think that would look great. In my experience you'd need about 4-5 inches of your own hair for thin dreads like Elysee ones (unless you're a whiz at braiding hair). For something chunkier maybe another inch or two longer.

The colour looks great! It looks very very vibrant and red. The new length looks good on you too.

A great color that really looks good on yourself in my opinion. Also really amazing the glow and vibrancy from Cherry Bomb.

Impressed with hw fast your hair has grown out, and would appreciate any suggestions on trying to get hair to grow out. I have tried to grow out my hair since December and not very sucesful maybe an inch longer. Thank you for any suggestions.

Love the two toned idea once the roots grow out and will try that idea myself after my next project.

I love this color on you!
And I also admire your two-tone idea.

As far as "growing fast", I actually think my hair grows sort of slow, but I'm impatient. Part of it may be that my hair is super straight, like a pin. There is not a bit of wave or curl to it at all.

As for my tricks on getting it to grow...here's what I do - I don't over process my hair (which leads to better growth because of little or no breakage. I rarely use product, maybe just a bit of hairspray on a daily basis or some goop of some kind (gel, texture cream, etc.). I don't wash my hair a ton, due to wanting to keep the color bright and also I don't want to dry it out. I wear a lot of bandanas. I don't know if that helps, but it might. It sort of protects my hair from the elements, I guess.

I'm sort of thinking if my hair really does grow quickly, I might be lucky, but then again, most of the time, I chop it off, anyway. My hair is so straight and fine, it doesn't really look right once it reaches a certain length, which is really past my chin. After that point, I have to do a lot of styling to get it to look good. Ugh, I hate that, so I don't really bother & just keep it short.

PS The first pic is me at work. Thought you all might get a kick out of that. It's where I do my *evil* --- *cackles ominously*!!!
