Hi everyone...new here...need help w/my hair disaster:
My natural color is med brown, it's been dyed black for months w/semi and perm color...I want to lighten it up to a dark blonde or really light brown so I "color oopsed" it twice to remove the black..now I've got dark brown ends, redish/muddy brown middle and pieces of orange streaks...the orange looks pretty neat but it's not what i'm going for...what do i do? i'm scared of bleaching my hair orange worried that I won't be able to undo something but can't afford any expensive salon stuff right now, what can i do to get it lighter eventually to a dark blond/light brown??

Hm, bleach it with vol 40 bleach, then dye it with a cold-ish blonde dye?

to dye for :D

I would actually purchase something like Loreal Color Zap and (if the strand test turns out ok) do that first. Color Zap works great because it doesn't turn your hair too terribly orangey or dusty red - closest to a yellowy finish than any other color remover I've tried. After however many apps you need of this I would /then/ consider bleaching, or maybe just toning, to the right shade of blonde.
Bleaching from black probably won't get you anywhere, and cause you significant damage. However if you use the color remover (especially Loreal Color Zap) you might not even need to bleach at all.
If you need to do more than one app of bleaching or Zap I would wait a week or so in between each. Too much at once will dry out and eventually damage your hair.
If you don't want to try color removal, then I would save up and wait until you can gradually lighten to shades of lighter brown at a salon, or simply wait for some of your dye to fade out, prepping it with good conditioners and lots of care.
Sorry for the long post, hope it helps!
