Okay I was just wondering what the longest lasting hair dye is...In unnatural colors anyway. I know that there aren't any really permenant colors...I heard that SFX and Punky Colors are pretty good, but I wouldn't know for sure as I only just started dying my hair a few monthes ago. And after an unfortunate incident with Kool-Aid (hehe that didn't work so well) I want something more reliable...

I'm looking for a good turqouise or possibly bright purple...Any thoughts?

My hair will be bleached first, in case that matters much....

something like this...
or this...
...but on me! =) (this pic of me sucks ass but oh well.....lol)

alright the two colors you've mentioned i dont know of any super long lasting colors without re-dying. but for purple ive heard that deep purple in special effects lasts a long time.
and for the turquoise fishbowl in the same brand it will be very nice at first, but depending on how well you bleach your hair, it fades differently for everyone. it may turn silvery, or an odd green, it just depends.
you'll probably get much more advice from the site administrators though, so i'd wait for their replies.
also id check out the gallery for more ideas.

Be very open and honest with who and what you are. If people still like you, fine, if not, that's their problem.

SFX Pimpin' Purple and Punky Plum both have excellent staying power.
SFX Fishbowl and Punky Turquoise faded rather quickly though.
Sometimes it just depends on the shade rather than the brand.

I get about 6 weeks out of Directions Turquoise. It's pretty much the same shade as in that pic.

Violets usually last about 4 weeks so if you want a shade like in the photo you'll have to redye it once a month. Once you get used to it it's not that big a hassle to redye often.

For either purple or turquoise would suggest SFX. This brand and shades have used previously.

sweet thank you!!! i heard that some brands of hairdye are okay to add into your shampoo/conditioner and redye it that way....do you know if that actually works?

Adding a bit of dye to your conditioner doesn't stop the colour from fading completely but it does help.
