I know that Special Effects Bright as F Yellow was out of production for a while... has it resurfaced since then?

Failing that, has anyone here used Punky Colour Bright Yellow? Is it true yellow and not greenish or orangey? If you've used it, how long did it last? What about Directions Bright Daffodil? Does anyone have pictures of the results of either of those?

It was a bit more yellow than that, but it did look rather orange because I didn't bleach my hair enough.
But the colour lasted fairly long, I only needed to do a touch up every few weeks or so.

Bright as F@#! Yellow is always in and out of production with SFX. It hasn't been available for about the last 5 months but they usually get more in - it seems they just never produce enough.

I can't say I've used Punky's yellow but LaRiche Directions has two that I've tried. Bright Daffodil is a kind of ordinary yellow. It's bright but not day-glo. Their new colour Fluorescent glow is more like SFX's Yellow and is pretty much neon yellow. It lasts for ages too and mixes well with other colours to give them a neon glow.

I'm planning on dying my hair yellow in two weeks, so I'm not waiting around for Bright as F Yellow. But I'm sure I'll dye my hair yellow again someday, so next time I have the chance to buy it, I definitely will.

Thanks for the pictures of Punky yellow. I saw some more pictures of it on Livejournal the other day and I think it's the best option I've seen so far. It looks like it could come out quite bright if my hair is bleached light enough, and I can definitely bleach my hair to almost white before dying it yellow.

Do you have a picture of Bright Daffodil, by any chance? I'd still like to see it. Fluorescent Glow might be a bit too green. I saw it in Adam's Adventures and I don't want to risk turning my hair that green, even if only in pictures.

His hair had a bit of blue left in it. If it was freshly bleached it wouldn't look that green.
Sorry I don't have pics of that colour. I've used it on Adam but with various other colours mixed in.

I really like Bright as F&@% Yellow, but I'd like to find one that's similar without being so darned colorfast. I can't get BAF out at all; I always have to tone it instead. That usually keeps me from using it, just like Atomic Pink does, which is a shame.
