Hey there...I got around to getting rid of my roots last week. I decided to go blonde for the summer, and I was pretty successful. There is a tiny bit of pink in there still, but mostly it's platinum blonde. I've gotten some compliments on it. A few people wanted to know kept some of the pink "on purpose".

I used Basic White bleach from Sally's and 30 volume developer. I did use it all over my hair, but applied to the roots initially and then pulled through. I will have to be careful in the future, though, since I am trying to grow my hair out into a China doll type bob. Patience and conditioner!!!

I am in my car...trying to look as cute as possible
Also in the car...making sort of a weird face!!!

    It really suits you.
How washed out was the last colour? I'm surprised it bleached out so well.

Indeed you did a good job in bleaching the previous colour out. The blonde and this slightly longer length look good on you.

The Cherry Bomb was a dark pinkish color. I should have taken pictures. I had the color in for about 6 wks or so. The last week whenever I washed, I used baking soda first, then washed with dish detergent and used a ton of conditioner. The pink is nearly out of my hair now, too. I've been using a regular strenthening shampoo and cheap (White Rain) conditioner.

Thank you for the information and the whiteish blonde looks great. In about four weeks will need to get rid of electric blue, sonic green, iguana green and blue mayhem. Your information is very helpful and have hight hopes to be blonde and blue-black again. Thank you again!

I used the bleach with a higlighting cap (nothing pulled through) pulled over tightly. You could get the same effect with cling film, though. I left the bleach on for about an hour, but my hair was in good condition. I did the roots first and then pulled the rest of the mixture through and reapplied. I am glad it went mostly blonde, too. Good luck!
