The last couple of motifs I've used have been nearly the same, but with different hues. I even took similar pictures of them. :)

The first one started with a halo of SFX Fishbowl around my face, went to SFX Blue Mayhem for most of my head, and had a little Punky Plum in the nape area.

The second one is the same layout, but with SFX Limelight in the front, SFX Iguana Green for most of my head, and then some Punky Apple Green (which is really turquoise) at my nape. (You can't see it, but the nape was wayyy too turquoise after it faded a bit, so I blended it halfway with the iguana green when I redid it today.)

I really like this very-limited-slice-of-a-rainbow thing, where it's mainly one color, with a slight shift at each end.

Looks good. Glad you explained the technique. I though maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me regarding the color. I like the "ombre" effect. We're seeing it a lot in clothes and now in hair!

Yeah the ombre idea is a big "fashion in" right now.
And I liek it. At first I thought it was the same picture only you photoshopped the hair cause they look so similar, but thne I noticed that the direction the hair was going at the top of your head was different

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was doing. Unfortunately, in those photos it really just looks like I'm lit from the front and the back is darker. It's a little more obvious if you click and make them bigger.

It's too bad I'm no longer blessed with a big mop of hair. I'd have a lot more fun with the concept.
