I finally did my hair a week ago, it was in a horrible state colour-wise, so I had to bleach it first to get it to a more manageable colour. It turned greenish at some parts, but all in all it was much easier to cover up than the muddy brown I had before. The turquoise parts look kinda bluish at parts (probably because of the purple bleeding through it while washing) or grayish (still needs more bleaching).

I used Special Effects Pimpin Purple, Directions Turquoise, and Crazy Color Cyclamen. Most of my hair is purple, with the side s of my face and fringe (grown out short bangs) turquoise and a chunk of cyclamen on one side, next to the turquoise. Also to give it some more variation, I made the turquoise go on at one side, underneath the purple, sort of like an underlayer, to the back of my head. And from the other side I did the same with the pink so they kinda met at the middle of the back of my head.

So, when my hair's down it looks mostly purple with a little turquoise, but when I put it up in a ponytail or half-ponytail the undercolours show and it becomes much more colourful. And if I pull my hair back the turquoise covers most of the purple at the top of my head and it looks very nice with the purple peaking from underneath.

Also put a stripey 'coontail kind of thing on the pink using the 3 colours I had.

I don't know if the pictures show the colours well, I'm pretty sure they're brighter and more vibrant outside and maybe Pimpin Purple is a bit more purple than shown.

For some reason, my sister's camera generally refuses to show purple/pink colours well. Hm... go figure.

The side with the pink and "'coontail". The purple is brighter in reality.
The plain purple side.
And the back -- you can see it's turquoise and if you look closely the other side is pink.

Nicely done, I really like the color contrast at your neck line and along the sides. The colors suit you well too.

Color makes you beautiful, so taste the rainbow.

It's lovely and really shiny looking. I have to admit, I like the before colours too but I can see why you dyed over it
You could make a photo story out of this topic.

Thanks. It did look nice before I dyed it, too, but only when it was down. I couldn't put it in a ponytail because the hair around my face was yellow blonde and it looked weird with my skin tone. And it was about 30 degrees so, unfortunately, I couldn't keep it down all the time.

Hmm you mean make a photostory about how I bleached and then dyed it? I could do that. I only wish I had taken more pictures of the processes.

I forgot to say, I didn't dye it on my own, my boyfriend did most of it. I only did the front turquoise. Took him 4 hours to cover my whole head. He was cursing me for having so much hair by the end. He did my roots too, took half an hour. I was afraid I'd get way too different shades at the front and back, but they came out ok.

Ooh I like it. I like the cyclaman-its a neat shade of pink. Love the turquoise!

Thats cute that your boyfriend helped you (and did a good job too). My last ex used to play with my hair all the time, but he would spike it and try to put it in styles, but ended up making my hair matted and tangled. Silly boys, indeed! I'm sure he would have dyed my hair, but i wasn't willing to have that mess on my head. haha

Thank you all! He'll be happy to hear he did a good job.

Fortunately, I only have to ask him and he'll help me. He tells me he likes dying my hair and that the only thing he can't stand is the smell of bleach, but he did bleach my roots for me anyway. The two times he dyed my hair, it turned out way better than the dye jobs done by me or professionals.

Honestly, I don't know how I'd do my hair without his help.
