I have a regional Burning Man event to go to this weekend, so I took a stab at making a single fall for my very small ponytail/bun. I don't have a ton of hair, so this is tricky and involves a lot of pinning, arranging, etc.

I mounted the synth dreads on a piece of stretchy elastic covered with cloth. It was originally a thin scrunchie, but I cut it with scissors in order to give me enough material to tie the fall on very tightly. This is a good option if you can't change your hair for reasons like school or work or if you are going for a more fantasy look (like cloth strips, tubular crin/cyberlocks, rexlace).

I have left my hair blonde for now. The third pic shows me with a small piece of Jumbo Braid (straightened with a curling iron on a low setting) and fashioned into fake streak(s) through my bangs. I just tied it with a rubberband and pushed it under my bandana and arranged.

I plan on making a better dreadband, but I wanted to take pictures over the weekend once I got the fall done!

Falls looks really good on you! Nicely done. And I like the black streaks on your fringe in the last picture, makes your natural hair blend better with the fall.

Thanks...

I would like to add some blonde synth dreads to it, but first I have to make them (which will not happen before next weekend).

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the natural leopard fabric strips do "match" my blonde (as much as leopard cloth can match hair). That's why I put them in. i was going to use yarn, but then remember how much fabric I had left over from an old project.

I'd like to install some dreads soon, but not sure if I'll have time to make enough to cover my head, so until then, I can make falls, etc. It satisfies my hair boredom.

Okay, I'll write one!!! Twist my arm. I'll have to figure out how to illustrate, though. Should be pretty easy.
