I've noticed many mentions of this particular hair color but none addressing the specific problem I'm having so I'm hoping someone might be able to lend a hand. I dyed my hair using this dye all over only after using a mix of it and special effects red and not liking how it turned out. In the end it ended up settling with the top half of my head a lovely blue- purple and the bottom half sort-of fuschia. I adore when my hair makes up it's own mind! Anyway, getting to the point, no matter how many times I tried to shampoo and rinse my hair the dye keeps coming out! It's obvious that only the purple is doing this so I'm wondering if it's a flaw with this particular brand? Or maybe my hair is just too porous because of how often I dye it? I went to the local beauty supply with my problem and after being chastised for buying my dye elsewhere (The good colors they typically sell there don't last very long at all) I was pointed in the direction of Ion brand color defense shampoo and conditioning mask, which help a little. But just to be clear, the color on my hair doesn't seem to be lightening up any, it still looks great! It's just that if it gets wet, even if I'm sweating, it starts coming off on pillows, my hands, walls, everything! Any tips?

Before I dyed all of it purple...
After, all purple...
the underside, fuschia

What you're experiencing is pretty common among semi-permanent dyes like Raw.
It will take awhile before it stops rubbing off on everything.
Especially for a dark colour, give it at least a month.
If you want to speed up the process, use a clarifying shampoo.
