6/13/08-- I dyed my hair for the first time ever, so I picked out punky color violet. After the grueling process came to an end, it looked pretty cool. It was more of navy blue, not what I expected.
2 weeks later it faded into this pink-teal-greenish hue. LAME: imagine if dirty fish water dye existed. Yeah, it was sick, and done on Friday the 13th (sad). Most of it may have been first-timer mistakes, but I've also heard that punky fades quickly. Eh, who knows.

This time I used Manic Panic Ultraviolet. There I am with the super curly hair. The quality hides the ugliness of the fading.
After the bleaching, we used Seran wrap + Canola oil to prevent the dye from getting into my skin and so the hair didn't get dry. So you know, I decided to wait and...awkwardly detangle my earphones...
And voila, done. Hopefully it'll stay. If not, I'm at least glad that it came out like...kaboom. End of the story. Whew.

Wow! That's an amazing, bright colour! Was your hair bleached from dying it Punky Color Violet at the first picture? Because it looks like it's all brown. O_o

It looks really good. Ultra Violet is a really nice colour - it's just so hard to photograph the violet-ness of it sometimes!

When I used it it faded out to a pale violet. I didn't have any problems with it looking murky - was it bleached light enough?

That's the FIRST problem, we (mom and I) freaked out at first and left the bleach in for only 40 minutes, so it was not pale but a solid yellow. This time, we left it in even longer until it was pretty light.

However, the punky color showed up nicely for the first few days then it was like pffttt...now we just know not to put a time limit, but to check whether it's enough or not.

    thanks again 8D

I have ultraviolet in my hair right now :)
Well actually it faded from chlorine so it's not a silvery lavender color.
I think when ultraviolet fades it's pretty much my favorite hair color.
