I've used Directions before but am thinking about Manic Panic. Was wondering, if anyone has used both. Which one is the better one? Lasts longer?

I was thinking of MP's Electric Lava. But after posting I re-discovered SFX Napalm Orange might work even better. So I guess I'm asking about that one too?

i would advise against mp. it has never worked for me, especially reds. go with sfx.

I've had mixed results from Manic Panic as with Special Effects. It depends on the colour I guess and maybe the batch of dye. O_o Haven't tried enough of directions yet to compare.

I had manic panic pillar box red, it worked perfectly for me. Nice bright red, my hair was bleached before colouring. Only weird thing was my roots (although they were bleached as well) really absorbed the colour and never faded until I stripped my hair. But the rest of my hair root down faded into a neat orange colour. You can see what I mean in my timeline, the picture is when it was starting to fade.
