I was wondering if anyone had ever had baby pink hair. I've seen a lot of hot pinks and magentas but not too many pastel pinks. Any ideas for colors or brands to try to get that color? :)

    Directions has a pastel pink.
Or you could just dilute something like Special Effects Cupcake Pink with conditioner.

I'd also recommend Directions Carnation Pink. Pastel Pink is like a baby pink, Carnation Pink is like a lighter version of magenta so you have a few to choose from.

It is hard to get a pastel pink from dying all your hair one color with one shade. Suggest from personal experience highlight 50% or half of your hair with the lighter pink dye colors like Cotton Candy Pink or Cupcake pink. Over time since these dyes are semi-permanent will fade and perhaps reach the pastel pink you would like. Another suggestion is you need platinum white blonde hair intially. Then purchasse a red based shampoo that deposits red onto the hair. Perform a test on a strand of hair to see how long should leave on to get the desired color. Then wash out the shampoo. Red depositing shampoo is avilable at a publicly open beauty supply store called Sally's Beauty Supply where I live. Suggest you could also try making your own shampoo. I am not a professional. Good luck.

I'm wearing Special Effects Cupcake Pink now. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a really pastel pink.

I'm currently sporting a rather fantastic pastel pink that I got by diluting a very, very small amount of Atomic Pink with half a giant bottle of Pantene Ice Shine Conditioner. I've had it for a bit over three weeks now and, being AP based, it has barely faded, though it's lost a bit of the slight neon glow that it initially had.

Also, if you plan on dying your hair pastel pink, I highly reccomend toning your hair before hand. I didn't and my roots were rather peachy for the first couple washes. And to keep from turning peachy, put a few drops of lavender hair dye in your conditioner (I use SFX Joyride, which has the added bonus of being a pinker purple) or use products designed for bleach blonde hair (I know Sally's has a decent line) or grey hair.

Manic Panics Cotton Candy is very light pink, it such a baby pink it wouldn't go over my faded orange/hot pink hair and it was pretty light!
On really bleached hair the cotton candy would look great.

No, don't use manic panic's cotton candy pink - unless you only want it for a very short time. I recently used that same color and it washed out in one shampoo!
