Hey guys. I'm new. *shakes hands*

You've got a pretty cool forum here, and I really need your help.

I want white hair. I'm naturally blonde. I already bleached my hair. Then i put silver toner on and it made my hair even lighter, more of a platinum blonde I'd say. But I really want snow white hair. Would another job of toner do it(I used stargaze silver) And i put it on for about 40 mins. OR do i bleach it again. I've read stuff about mixing your own dye up, but i honestly wouldn't know where to start. Help on that would be cool.

Also, how pale does you hair need to be for it to work its best. Because my hair was pretty pail but i didn't get the disired effect.

I live in the UK and have had a lot of trouble finding toner and what not. Most of the shops i went in didn't even know what it was.

Anyway. I want my hair to be the same colour as pixie0willow, she has quality hair.

Hope you guys can help, I'm sure your quite sick of people asking about getting white hair because its such a difficult colour to acheive. So appologies.

x

How light was your hair after you bleached it?
What toner did you use and how long did you leave it in for?
It could be a number of things so I'm just trying to narrow down the problem.
Either you didn't bleach your hair enough or you messed up on the toning part.

Well my hair was very pale yellow. I used that live platinum blonde bleach and it practacly went the same colour as the kids on the box. I left the toner on for about 40 mins, because i kept checking it. i didnt want to leave it on to long but it started taking. maybe i should put more on and leave it in?

Okay so it sounds like the bleaching went just fine, it was the toning that didn't turn out great.
I'd try it again and see how it goes.
If it doesn't work, I'd suggest using a different toner.
The one Special Effects makes is supposed to be pretty good.
I'm sure other people on the forum can recommend some brands as well.

When using a toner or white dye, it should have a slightly blue tint to it--this blue cancels out all other colors and leaves your hair white. Two bleachings and MANIC PANIC Virgin Snow have proven effective

When I had white hair I always got the whitest results with Special Effects Mixer Toner and I've tried nearly everything going. It's just the perfect shade.
The odd thing was I always thought the toner should be quite violet looking but SFX's is kind of a lilac colour. There's not a lot off difference in the colour but when working with toners the slightest variation can make all the difference.
Hope it goes well for you!
