I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a shampoo and conditioner.
My hair is quite damaged and in need of repair.
I'm currently using cheap stuff but would like to do a bit more research before shelling out cash for something else.
    Thanks!

I don't know if they do it in Canada, but they do in the UK and Us, and that is Tigi's Bedhead/Catwalk/SFactor ranges.

I love their Bedhead Dumb Blonde and Catwalk's Headshot.

Also, in the SFactor range they have the "Serious" conditioner which is fab.

Hi, I find the best ranges are Tre Semme... I use the purple colour for extremely dry and damaged hair along with the spray in heat protector. most of the time either boots or superdrug have these on offer. I use the shampoo and regular conditioner on regular basis and use the deep intensive conditioner once a week.

But I also use Pantene silk and smooth/herbal essence dry and damaged which is regular stuff and it works the same.

I dont know if they actually repair the hair but when I asked a hairdresser about which is best.... highstreet brands or salon she said they are all the same except the salon brands are more concentrated so you use less potenionally savig you money in the long run.

    OH BTW A HUGE TIP!!

My boss is a devote user of Kerastase and used to buy me their intensive conditoner for x-mas. HOWEVER she got told that the range which is reaaally expensive is made by l'oreal and is almost identical to the regular l'oreal products which you can buy from shops.

    =)

Yeah I was using the Herbal Essences in the blue bottle, for dry hair.
But the smell is starting to get to me so I think it's time to switch.
I've used Pantene in the past but I find my hair builds up with gunk pretty quickly.
I was starting to get restless so I just picked up some L'Oreal Vive Pro Nutri-Gloss for damaged, mid-length/long hair.
The scent is nice and not fake coconut flowery crap like the Herbal Essences.
But it's good to hear suggestions in case I don't like the stuff I just bought or for when I go hunting for something new.
    Thanks!

When my hair is damaged I tend to go for a light non-moisturising shampoo. Neutrogena is usually my favourite but then I use a heavy conditioner. I need a good shampoo to prevent build up but I like to have a lot of silky stuff in my hair in between times to prevent further damage from snagging.
I'd also recommend Tresemme. They have a conditioner for coloured hair which has quite a lot of silicone and also protein in it. It's too much for my hair now half of it is grown out but on the bleached parts it works wonders.

I absolutely love Dove Intense Damage Therapy. It leaves my hair softer and shinier than any other products. The only draw back is that it smells a smidge like baby powder, but usually my leave-in conditioner and frizz serum cover up any risidual smell.

I also really like the Pantene Restoratives Anti-Breakage Formula, though I only use the conditioner as I don't feel the shampoo does a good job of cleaning my scalp.

Pantene does nothing for my hair - just leaves a greasiness. Not good. I also can't stand the smell! Very 'chemically' if you ask me. My favourite brand is Aussie. 3-Minute-Miracle + miracle moist shampoo. Does wonders for damaged hair and smells yummy

Mane and Tail works pretty well considering.
It took about a week and a half for me to notice anything but now as I look back It has helped out.

Just found out in work the other day that apparently Herbal Essences isn't too good for your hair.
A Co-worker told me that her hairdresser yelled at her for using it because it actually damages your hair more...?
Idk, all I know it that it smells nice.

I just wanted to add that I've recently started using Ion Reconstructor again once a week because I have a big ratty bit in my hair that's hard to brush. I've had a noticeable improvement in that area and it's much easier to comb through. I know Ion isn't always the cheapest option but perhaps you could pick up a few sachets for the occasional treatment.
