ive got 2 bottles of blue mayheeem. planning to use them once i get my hair the right colour (which is another problem in itself as hairdressers wont go near me lol)
and i had a random thought (don't know where it came from) but i cut some hair off my dog and put some dye on it (the dogs hair is pure white lol)..anywho
it came out purple. i was like *blinks* huh? ive even put more on and its still purple..
is this expected? cause the pics ive seen are alot bluer lol.
i thought that blue mayhem wasnt a purpleyblue dye, or was i wrong in thinking that? lol
does anyone have any ideas on how i could make it less purpley when i put it on my hair?

I've heard that all SFX blues have a little purple in it. I think it's there because most hair will have a yellowish tint, and the purple prevents it from going green. If your dog's hair was pure white, then that might be why it went purple.

Depending on how close to white your hair is before you dye it, your hair might start off a little purple. I'm pretty sure it goes away after a few washes. Your hair might not even start out purple, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I had one of the SFX blues in for a while. Started off with a hint of purpley in certain light, but alot of the time it was the normal blue colour. It faded out purple/blue though, which was kinda cool for a while.
