Well first off I have virgin hair never been bleached dyed nothing like that.. It comes up to a liitle past my shoulders and its layered oh and its DARK BROWN like it looks black. In the sun its dark brown...Anyways I want to bleach only the top layer and dye it like orange and pink with my natural color (black on bottom) everyones telling me not to do it since its the top of my hair and if i mess up i cant hide it... I really believe i can do it by myself and want to try. Where can I buy a toner and bleach( Like the kind they sell at Sally's which i dont have near me?) that would be salon quality?Dont say haircrazy's shop because Im gonna buy the colors here but i dont like the manic panic bleach! anyways thanks! Do you think my ideas dumb? Any one have any pictures of orange and pink together? Oh and i live in new york...

Do some strand tests, these will show you what colour your hair will be and also give you an idea of the condition of it. You can buy bleach kits pretty much anywhere that you can get permanent hair dye.
When bleaching leave 1cm closest to the roots untouched until half way through the process (you'll know how long it should take from your strand test). The hair close to your scalp bleaches faster. It's important to section your hair carefully when applying bleach to ensure an even result.
