Hi. I was wondering whether I could get some help.

I was thinking of getting my haircut but I really don't know what kind of style I want. Eventually, I'd like to bleach and dye parts of it pink, but that's for another time.

As you can see my hair is naturally curly. I am mixed race, but my hair hasn't got the afro texture.

I'd like an edgy style. I'vebeen scouring the internet for any good curly hairstyles but all the ones I find look...well...boring.

I'd appreciate any ideas people have on the matter. Thank you!

Hmm...I don't know if this works for many people, but there was a girl I met once who had the same hair texture as you. She had bangs about to her eyebrows that were still all in ringlet curls like your hair is. It looked pretty cute.

Maybe you could layer it a different way?

I recently saw an a-line cut with curly hair (though not quite as curly as yours), and it looked really great.

Thank you for the ideas. I was thinking of an A Line cut myself but I wasnt sure if it would work.

Does anybody know the situation on thinning out hair? I knew of a mixed race girl (although she was quarter black) who had her hair thinned. What's the process? How often do you have to have it done?

I don't really understand what you meaned by thinned.
Do you mean getting it chemically straightened?
Here's an article about that if that is what you mean.

The only kind of thinning I know of is through cutting, specifically layering with a razor. That will make your hair appear thinner on the lenght of your hair, but it could make it to your shorter layers will stick up a lot more.

Oh I've had chemical straightening done in the past.

I spent time deliberately growing it out because I couldn't bleach it without it being damaged to buggery >.Oh I've had chemical straightening done in the past.

I think a little bit of razor thinning and the A line would look hot. Chemical straightening is so nasty and awful, I just don't understand why people get it done. But there are much gentler ways to lep the curl loosen up, I dont know a lot about it, but theres a cool website/forum devoted to curlys at naturallycurly.com I think thats where I read about it

I have hair like yours and i just got it cut pretty short....it was thinned (i think anyway...she broke my hair up into chucks and twisted it then she cut down the chucks so i got all different lengths) the longest part goes down to just past my neck when its straight

here's i picture if you want to see how it looks (its not that edgy but i love it and its so much easier than longer hair!)

okay never mind i cant figure out how to post it but I love it and it actually looks great curly (according to my mom even better than when its straight)

hope this helps
