Okay, so my dandriff's gotten really bad now. It's not just a little, my scalp is itchy and whenever I scratch it the dandriff gets stuck in my nails, it's really gross.
Should I stop using shampoo or get an anti-dandriff?

Get some anti-dandruff shampoo.
Unless it is from washing your hair too much. If you really dry out your scalp from over washing or harsh chemicals your scalp will basically just flake off.

I've only been washing every other day... if I go longer than that my hair gets greasier than fast food.
Does anyone know what brand of anti-dandriff shampoo works best?

Selsun Blue (I don't know if I spelled that right) is another type, But I use head and shoulders.
Umm...you might try not getting conditioner on your scalp. That makes it either greasier or if you don't wash it off properly it flakes off.

Also try a tea tree shampoo if you'd rather do it natural. It is supposed to balance out oils on your scalp so it tends to help dandruff I think.

If your scalp is still as flakey as winter then you should see a dermatologist or doctor and see if it's a skin condition of some sort or see if you need a prescription dandruff shampoo.

All anti-dandruff shampoos have the same active ingredient. If that's not working for you could you try using baby shampoo or a moisturising shampoo.

here are some Natural Homemade Dandruff Remedy i only like to really use stuff that is Natural. so here you go.

Mix 1 egg with 1 cup of yogurt and apply on the scalp. Leave for ½ an hour and wash.

Mix 1 tblspn of Olive oil with 1 tspn of limejuice. Apply well on the scalp and cover your head head Keep it on overnight and shampoo the next morning.

About 10-15 minutes before you wash your hair, rub a lot of aloe vera gel into your scalp. leave it on for 10 minutes, and shampoo your hair like you regulary do. if you do this everyday the dandruff will stay away.

so there you go and i hope it helps!

I found Head & Shoulders useless. I use Sunsilk Anti Itch Scalp shampoo and conditioner. It has almond milk or something which calms my scalp. I used to have bad dandruff after I had braids for a year.

I also use L'Oreal SOS Dandruff treament which is ace.
