Now my hair is getting long again it's doing it's usual move of sticking to my head.
When it was shorter blow drying with a round vented brush was a good way to add volume but now it just doesn't work.
Mousse was a total disaster. It just left my hair feeling nasty until it was washed out.
Blow drying upside down works to a point but it also makes my hair frizzy for a few hours.

Anyone have any tips or product recommendations?

Backcombing? Might not be a good idea if your hair is in any way fragile. Used to work a treat on my long hair when it was dyed black, especially if I backcombedjust on either side of my parting and then folded a layer of smooth normal hair over it.

Salt Spray is pretty good. Umberto do a nice one. Good for a more ruffled look.

Marc Anthony Instantly Thick definitely gave some oomph to my hair.
I used the cream but there's also a foam, a balm, and a couple of sprays.
It was pretty good at smoothing out my hair but it felt a bit heavy.

Thanks guys. I'll investigate those products further. I think back combing would be hair suicide as it is at the moment.
