Okay, my boyfriend knows I plan on redoing my hair very soon, and he wants me to come over the his house and bleach a small part of his hair when I bleach mine and put some green in it. Well, I have it all figured out, and I have some bleach that should work for both of us.

Problem is, his hair is a lot darker than mine, so it's a lot less likely to get down to the optimum lack of pigmentation to put certain colors in with one bleach. I suppose I would call it very dark brown, near black.

What effect do you think SFX Sonic Green would have over hair that may not be any lighter than, say, orange? I really have no idea how well his hair will lighten, and I would like to know if it'll turn out fairly well or not.

Also, does anyone have any experience in mixing SFX Sonic Green and SFX Iguana Green? I know that he wants a fairly green color, and Sonic has lots of blue undertones, whereas Iguana has yellow undertones. Would mixing a little bit of the Iguana into it produce a good green color, do you think, or should I just go with straight Sonic?

Green over orange is not going to look great but it should have a greenish tint. Most bleaches can be left on for 90 minutes so you may just need to leave the bleach on his hair for a bit longer.

okay, thanks. I'm still kinda new to all this. The first person I helped had hair just like mine, so I already knew how to deal with it, but this is totally out of my current scope of knowledge ^^;;

Well, we did it. We dyed our hair last night. Mine is now super, supper purple, and his is pretty darn green. I bleached it, and it bleached a lot better than I expected. We got it down to fairly orangey yellow. I told him we were risking it if we didn't bleach it more, but he said go ahead.

So we mixed some dyes, using basic color theory for hair dying knowledge. All colors were SFX brand; lots of Sonic Green, a little Iguana Green, and just a touch of Blue Mayhem. It turned out beautifully.

Hehe, and my hair is now very, very purple.
