Well, I was bored and looking through my bathroom cabinet when I found a box of facial bleach. I mixed up the bleach with four times the activator you're supposed to use and put it on two streaks on each side of my bangs. Suprisingly it lightened my hair to gold after 20 minutes. Then I used sfx blood red.

Looks good.
Not sure what the activator is but with normal bleach you can dilute it by using too much developer. Doesn't look like it happened in your case though.
