Because I had to re-bleach my coontail so much, and trying to get the same exact hair to tape up is a bit difficult, it grew a bit too big for my liking. And now I want to dye some it back to brown (if not all of it). And I was wondering what would be the best way to do this? Should I just put the dye on the blond parts or put it on all of it? Do you think it'll end up looking like an all brown coontail?

I'd dye the blonde parts back to brown (probably using a semi since permaents contain bleach and you want to avoid that probably) then dye over the entire stip of the hair. I think thw would give a more even result in the end.

Well I dyed it and tried to put the dye on just the blonde parts. And as I suspected I have a brown coontail now. -_- I'm just going to have to go over it again. Here are some photos.

Right after I got out of the shower.

Top of my head. Mostly dry hair.

Full view.

its MUCH more muted though - it'l be a good base to go over the whole thing with.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm sad to see it go because it was neat, but I just got tired of it being there. I'm going to put one in my under layer soon though, this way it won't be so pronounced.

If you find it hard to cover up and don't want a big dark brown section of hair you could always add a few streaks through it to break up the lines.

Actually, the dye I got to cover it up matches my natural color quite well (if not perfectly). So that's not really a problem, thankfully!
