Hello,
I have auburn hair. I would like to dye my hair for burning man. I want to go a shade redder than my natural auburn (think Debra Messing not Juliane Moore). I work in a legal office so I cannot go too nuts. I DO NOT want to bleach.
Can you advice me as to what color might be good? I think I want to stick to the warm colors.

If someone has told you you need to bleach for this, they are WRONG :)

My red was very very much like Debrah Messing's - I used Clairol Complements in 5rc I believe was the code (there are swatches at Clairolprofessional.com) I'd suggest doing a professional color like this for a natural shade rather than something like Manic Panic or SFX, those don't really produce natural shades. But a semi will work just fine since you are adding color, and if you decide not to keep it after Burning Man, it will fade naturally (though you'd still be a bit redder than now for qutie sometime) My best advice would be to go to Sally Beauty and just look around at the swatches, see what you like. The workers there will be able to tell you what your basic needs are once you pick that. Just don't listen to them if they say you need to bleach, or use anything other than 10 volume developer for perament color.
