Well previously my hair was apple green(directions) on top and black underneath and with some turquoise in it under the green too, but i wanted to change the turquoise(directions) to pink(manic panic hot hot pink) so.. i did! it looks really cool but it was annoying to do and the turquoise was annoying to get out, and now its 3 weeks on and i've had to redo the pink once coz half started to fade and redo the green once, its annoying to keep em apart, had to make a tinfoil hat with a hole in the top haha, i can't be doin with this espec coz ill have to get random ppl at uni to help me do the back in sept.. i wanna make it easier, but i'm not sure what i should do, here are the options..

1. get rid of the pink and change it back to turquoise ( aww it looks boring now compared to my green and pink! easier tho if they mix)
2. get rid of most of the pink but leave one flash of pink and do the rest of where the pink was green.
3. leave one side of the pink, and do the other side green/turquoise(coz at least it would be easier when dying coz i could flip it to one side instead of in my face.
4. any suggestions?

i've been reading the colour chart article, sounds like i should do it gradually, i did bleach it about 2 times to get the turquoise out so it would probably be better to gradually get it back to turquoise/green. so shall i make it purple? i do like the idea of purple. how long would i need it purple for it to be enough to dye it the next colour, just one time til its faded? it doesn't solve the problem of having to seperate it annoyingly every time i dye it which is like every 2 weeks coz its grrrrrrrrrreeen. i do have some time tho to sort it before i go to uni.

greatful for any suggestions, thanks ^_^ x

Personally, I love the look of pink and green, because it always reminds me of watermelon. But, if you really hate it I would go with the last idea you had. I think the pink and turquiose would look cool.

nooooo its not that i hate it, i really like it, its just that it is suchhhh a hastle, and it will be even harder at uni coz ill have to get random ppl to help me.
Yes pink and turquoise would look good but that would be just as awkward, and getting rid of the green isnt an option, that has to stay the constant, can't be doing without green! i am the grinch!

It's a shame to have to re-dye your hair because it looks like that was a lot of work.
I use mirrors to help me see the back, so maybe you could give that a shot.

You could always think of it as a way to make new friends! Your hair is really awesome! It's a shame that it'll have to go. I'd say go with either options 2 or 3, because that pink is simply divine!

I'm kind of confused about what you're asking? Is it that you want to keep the green and pink but find it hard to retouch?
I had my hair 3 colours like that for a while and I found it pretty easy to upkeep. It's good you have the green on top because it tends to bleed much less than the pink and is therefore less likely to spoil the pink. You'll find the pink gets better as the remaining turquoise goes away.
Anyway, how I did it was this:
Clipped up the top two sections of hair while I dyed the bottom layer black. I then knotted the black hair up in a bun and clipped it into place. If you're worried about the black rubbing off onto the next later wrap some film around that.
Next I unclipped the hair and took the top third and clipped it out of the way. I repeated dyeing as in the black layer.
Finally I dyed the remaining hair at the top keeping it away from the middle layer with a clip.
When rinsing I unclipped the bottom (black) layer, let it rinse out, then rinsed the next layer. For the top layer I tipped my head upside down and clipped the rinsed hair back out of the way while I rinsed the top.

    Could that work for you?

To add to Jude's instructions, if you are extra paranoid about the colors rubbing off on one another then you could dye the bottom layer, rinse it out. Then dye the middle layer and rinse it out and then dye the top layer and rinse it out. This will obviously take more time, but it will put you at ease if you're worried about it!

thank you everyone, sorry for writing a confusing post!
Jude, the main problem is the green part, i haven't been re-dying them all on the same day so its easier, but it is just tricky trying to apply the green dye. last time, i tied the rest of the hair in a pony tail and clipped bits down then had the green coming forward over my face, but like i said i had it poking thru a big square in tin foil, so i could let it rest over the pink without it greening the pink, because its difficult if it rests on myface coz then ill have a greeeeen face. i really like my hair like this, i think i'll try and keep it like this a while longer, its just that when i needed to re green i just slapped it on n it was much quicker but now i have to be really careful.
hmm someone did tell me i deffo shouldn't get rid of the pink coz it looks awesome and they would help me redye it at uni if i need help. its just annnoyinggg oh well "life is boring, art is fun!"
