hi! i'm filipino so i have black hair and i just want to dye the bottom half of my hair red & i don't want to use bleach.. does anybody know if the manic panic vampire red will work?

i dont think it'll show up because i did that with my sis and she has natural jetblack hair (she's asian). we did it with purple and it didnt show up. it didnt even shine purple under bright lights.

with healthy hair, its very difficult to get any type of semi color to stick. semi colors work by adhereing to the pores in the hair, so if there is nothing to stick into, then the color can't stay. I've personally had good results with dark brown hair and red, but I don't think black will pick up much of the color, or any of it. manic panic does have some examples on their website about dying unbleached hair though.

Not very likely......I dyed my little brother's hair with vampire red, but my mom said ABSOLUTELY no bleach allowed.......

I thought it would work, because it is a deep, dark red. I put it on brown hair (not light, but not very dark, kinda medium) and all I got was a very subtle red tone.....nothing too noticeable.....
