I'm spending the next week in Florida so I will probably be doing some swimming in either pools or the ocean. I'm not concerned about my color fading out (I'm bored of it), but will the salt water or chlorine damage my hair much?
I plan to bleach out the remaining color about a week after I get back home and then re-dye - will the salt/chemical damage affect how well this turns out? I can totally avoid swimming if necessary, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

It can be damaging - in the sense that bothare very very drying - but as long as you do a good rinse after you get out, you should be fine. Rinse with cold water too as that will keep the hair cuticle shut, preventing the salt or chlorine from getting into the hair shaft where it would do the most damage. If yor'e just going to be there for a week, its not a huge issue :) Should be just fine to bleach after you get home.

That's a relief to know. Haha, I thought I might have to skip swimming. Thanks!

Yeah I found that if I was shampoo it out or at the very lease rinse straight away and used conditioner every day there was no additional damage to my hair.

    rinse with cold water tho
it closes the hair follicle and doesnt allow any/as much chlorine or salt water ot penetrate
    thus, saving the hair
