Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as im having a bit of a dilema =o

Ok, i went to the hairdressers today and i wanted them to bleach my roots and match it to the already bleached hair. so they said something and did what they wanted.
They used a lightening dye twice, which has made my roots a yellowy goldy colour i think would describe it best. they then said ahh we'll put an ash dye on it to neutralise it. so i now have patches of hair that are a silvery grey. and some parts of my hair are white.

The question is, what would happen if i were to put blue mayhem over this mess ? lol
or i am also debating putting a blonde dye over all of it.
I suppose the real question is; what would you do in this situation.
I really really really really want blue hair for tomorrow, or even tonight as tomorrow is my a level results and i wish to annoy the school =]

Any help appreciated!
I currently have blue mayhem dye blonde dye and bleach if thats any help. =s

thanks mucho! x x

Do you happen to have a photo?
Either way, if your hair is too yellow the blue isn't going to turn out right.
You have to lighten it to a very pale yellow like the inside of a banana peel.

If it's silvery in places and white in others it should be fine. As long as there aren't big patches of yellow. They might go a little green.

I agree, a picture would be good.
It depends, I suspect the ash has simply neutralised the yellow and over time the yellowness is going to come back and that would ruin your blue mayhem.
However a bunch of permanent dyes could technically have lightened it enough.
Personally I'd do a 10 minute bleach on my roots to make sure they were light enough and then do the blue mayhem. If you want to avoid that try a strand test with the blue mayhem but bear in mind it could go greenish.

:( they shouldve given you your money back!! using the blonde dye would maybe damage your hair..unless its still in good condition after all that bleaching!

I guess imageshack blocks hotlinking images. Usually you'd be fine just putting in the URL of the picture.
    Anyway,
The hair dresser hasn't done their job properly. That does not match up but I have to say the ash on the already bleached hair looks lovely.
For me I would go ahead and bleach the roots, maybe 1/4 of the hair at a time since you'll only need to bleach for about 10 minutes. Once it's that nice pale blond shade you can go ahead and do Blue Mayhem without toning. I think it would look lovely if you left some if it blonde (with blue) and just toned the roots to match the ends.

A tip... when a hairdresser blows you off and does what they want instead of what you asked, find someone else.

Sometimes you can at least get them to fix what they broke, but once they do, find someone else. There are plenty of clever, educated people out there who can do what you want and do it right, so you don't need to waste time trying to work things out with the idiots. When you find someone who knows what they're doing, always go back to them. Don't just take whoever's available the day you want something done. It's worth it to be picky.
