Ahoy! A little over a year ago I bleached some of my hair and dyed it Atomic Pink. After a few haircuts there's just a little bleached color left (light blonde to orangey blonde in some spots) and I want to dye it a BRIGHT red-orange. I'm trying to choose between Special Effects Napalm Orange and Hi-Octane Orange. My main concern is what each of these colors will fade to after a few months. I do not plan on maintaining the color on a regular basis so I would prefer a color that fades to a bright red-orange or orange. I guess you could say my goal is to make my hair look like it's on fire. Any advice on choosing between these two colors? Has anyone had any experiences, good or bad, with either one? Please share!

I am sooo glad someone else out there is interested in Orange hair!

I have never used either dye,(cant till highschool graduation!) but i have done my fair bit of research. Hi- Octane orange is definatley the yellower shade so I would go with the napalm. I've also heard alot of reviews that raved about napalm orange's staying power and how prettlily it faded.
Here's some galleries of both shades, I think you will find them useful:

Also, if you really want the fire look, try mixing a little red in there too.

Sorry klancy123 but I had to remove those links.
Here's what Hi-Octane Orange looks like:

    And me with Napalm Orange:

Actually I did mix some Bright As !@#$ Yellow in there but it didn't really lighten up the dye very much.
By the way, it's really Napalm Orange that has less red tones in it.

Thank you both! I decided on the Napalm Orange. I just finished putting in the dye. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Napalm Orange is nice, you won't be disappointed.
It starts off as this neon reddish orange but gradually lightens to a less neon yet vibrant orange.
    Post pics if you can.
    ^_^

AGHHHHH I'm so happy with out this turned out! Napalm Orange has replaced Atomic Pink as my favorite color. It is so freaking bright. I was worried it would be too yellow but after almost 2 hours in my hair it turned out a very bright red-orange. Thank you for your advice/suggestions! I'll post a pic later on.
