hello.
im very sorry if i annoy anyone with my frequent postings of straightening bleached hair...but in truth i am extremly worried.

i want to dye my hair pimpin' purple by SFX but i straighten my hair almost every day. cause i have to wash it at night to get rid of the straightening serum/protectant buildup
so can i straighten it everyday if i use protecting stuff?

I hate to sound harsh, but could you just not straigten it?! Its probably doing your hair more harm than good, especially as your putting serums etc on, which are likely to be alcohol based- therefore fading your colour and damaging your hair.

Give you hair a break, get some good conditioner on it, wash it less often and put the GHD's away for a bit.

If you're using enough straightening product to need to wash it out every night then you're using far far too much. I wash my hair every 4/5 days and straighten about 5 days out of 7. I use an intensive conditioner every time I wash it. Then before I dry it I put on a leave in conditioner (find a salon brand) and a straightening balm. Then I straighten it with Lee Stafford Heat Protection Spray. It's the best one out there as far as I'm concerned. And I can't say I've noticed it fading my colour.

So if I were you I would cut way down on the amount of washing (dry shampoo is your friend) and keep the serums for wet hair and just use straightening spray when it's dry to avoid build up.

Also, I don't know what straighteners you use but I would avoid GHD's. I used them for 4 days when I stayed with a friend and my hair has never been more dry or damaged. I use Futura straighteners. They have shiny plates to smooth down your hair to stop it looking damaged and frizzy.

i actually dont use alot of stuff.
i use liek a drop smaller then a quarter casue i have longish hairr
and i checked my stuff only one has alcohol and i dontreally used that one.

i have a good ceramic straightener that i love with my heart. its a month old? about? maybe more.

i would not straighten it but my hair doesnt look nice. and im serious. it liek weird waves that poof to like a foot away from my head. horrible. and theyre madd frizzy.

my hair isnt in bad condition at all i dont think. its not fried. its soft and shiny, even tho i dyed it 2ce with perm hair dye. every so ofter i use a seaweed hair wrap and leave that in and then rinse it out.

i dont like sprays all that much tho.
what about that coconut oil post?
if i used a lil of that would it help my hair?

and for the record now im gonna dye it blue because some girl i know dyed hers purple. and i cant be like her.
