is there anyway of seeing what i would look like with dreads without having to commit to them. i hear they're permanent and i'm not ready to make the jump without seeing it 1st. Also what length does hair need to be for dreadlocking. i have included a picture of my current hair if its any help.

also i dye my hair black. would this be affected by dreads??? i mean in the sense of difficulty to keep redying?

No - unless your really good at photoshop and photoshop someone elses dreads onto your head. But No 2 peoples dreads are the same...

3/4 inches or longer. But remeber. Dreads shrink, then grow. And they grow SLOW.

You can still dye your hair, but carefully. You only need to dye the outside of the dread. And rinsing really well is the best thing for them.

You can always do the temporary dread thing in the Styling Guides.

or you could always get dread extentions..
they arent perminant and you can keep them in for a month or two, and then take them out and re-braid them in again.

thats what I would do if you werent ready for a commitment like that, Im actually planning on it myself.
