i've just read the article on fading semi-permanent hair dyes back to your normal colour.

I dont actually know exactly what product i have my hair dyed with as its at the hair dressers, but its schwarzkopf and that its a toner. I dye it black and it was still rather dark after 6 months. sort of a dark redish-brown and i'm a natural blonde. does this mean it's a permanent one?? How easy would this be to fade effectively??

Also i use a hair shampoo and conditioner designed for dyed black hair. if i stopped using that would it fade faster??

When you dye your hair darker it doesn't always wash out as fast as it should.
I'd switch to a normal shampoo or even better a clarifying shampoo and give that a try. Other than that there's not much you can do without chemically removing the colour.
