I have a very little bit of Special Effects Napalm Orange dye left over - aka, not enough to dye my hair again, and I was planning to switch to pink anyway. But in any case, a bit of dye left over. For my modern dance class, I'm getting some chinese knee pads, that will come in a sort of neutral off-white colour. Wanting them to look spiffy-er, I was wondering - while I assume one could dye fabric with hair dye, I was wondering how much it would run if I were to do this - dance class makes you sweat a LOT and I don't really want my knees stained bright orange...

Thanks!

I'd say there's a good chance it will run. You could try rinsing it out in cold water a few times but if it was me I'd just use something like Dylon.

Yeah they're a manufacturer of fabric dye. I've used a few of their products and they've always been colour-fast and easy to use. You can either get the dye by hand type or machine dye, both work well.

Dylon is great - i used to make a lot of my own Tshirts when i was younger and used nothing else.

    You could try fabric paint...
