I'm going to dye my hair again in about two weeks. I was to do the majority of my head SFX Sonic Green, and use some leftover SFX Napalm Orange that I have as well for bit here and there.

What I was wondering is, will the green bleed into the orange? If it will, is there anything special I can do to try to prevent it?

This is the first time I'll be doing two colors, so I just wanted to ask before I did it, so I'd know to pick another color or not.

Sonic Green bleeds a lot. I just used it a week ago, and it's still turning the water in my shower very green. Luckily, it doesn't stain that well, but it did dye the non-dyed parts of my hair a light green because I wasn't careful to seperate it when washing.

I don't think it would be easy to seperate the orange parts if they're small and all around your hair. Like I said, it doesn't stain that much, but it does a little and I don't think orange and green will mix well together. If you can use another color, use some kind of blue or another green.

It isn't impossible, but it is certainly tricky.
I managed to pull off yellow and blue, only because I dyed the front half yellow and the back blue.
Now it did bleed a bit but it wasn't too bad.
If you're willing to dye it in such a way as I did and to be cautious when washing, I'd say go for it.

Well, I was thinking about doing a thin layer or orange on top of the green, not so much as chunks, I guess. I just really like the two together. My first choice was Fishbowl, but I heard it fades kinda fast. Then I thought about Nuclear Red, but I've done a reddish/pink before so I was just trying to mix it up. But so far, I really appreciate the feedback.

Actually, Nuclear Red doesn't have pink tones in it.
I've used Fishbowl before as well and thought it lasted fairly long.
Thin layers of orange with mostly green would be really difficult to maintain though unfortunately.

Well, I did Cherry Bomb, so that's what I meant by reddish/pink :] I've heard that Nuclear Red has some orange tones which sounds great. If Fishbowl lasts longer than I thought, then it'll have to go back up for consideration!

Gosh, picking is so hard XD

    For reference:

That's what I wanted the outcome to look like ('cept green where the blue is, orange where the pink is). I wanted a picture to show, since I think some of you weren't getting the right idea about what I was thinking of.

Oh, that might be okay actually.
If you tied back the orange part and washed it separately from the green I think it wouldn't bleed too much.

That's great to hear! :D I won't mind having to take extra precaution if it means I can have these two color together. I should have just posted an example in the first place :p

    Thanks!
