I'm buying some human hair extensions and I was wondering what the most natural looking way to install them is? I want to keep them in long term so I don't want ones that clip in and out necessarily.

Thanks :D

http://www.extra-muffins.com/hair/ - Heavenly Hair has tons of tutorials and links to them on other pages. Doctored Locks also has plenty of information and tutorials - http://www.doctoredlocks.com/. I have never done extensions, but I think that the key to creating real looking extensions is proper sectioning. For this, you'll probably need a friend to help you. It's possible to do it yourself, but more difficult (and hard on the arms!). There's lots of different ways to do it, so research and then experiment with it.

I've looked at those tutorials before and I have a good idea on how all the different types of installations work, but I wanted to know which is the most natural looking and long term.

I think a lot of people favour keratin bonds but I really don't know if looks more natural or not.
If I was getting extensions I would probably go for wefts but maybe that's not the look you're going for.

I'm totally new to all of this but i basically want my hair to look similar to this, but in blood red:

Not a huge Kate Moss fan but it's some gorgeous hair. My hair is just shoulder length right now.

I guess whether you will be wearing it up much will make a difference to what you choose.
With a style like that it should be pretty easy to hide the bonds I would say but I've only ever braided in extensions. Where have all the knowledgeable extensions people gone?

sorry if this is too late - there is really no one natural way of installing extensions, it depends on your hair type, the exensions your using, and a lot of personal prefrence.

one of the easiest and more natural ways for beginners is wefted tape extensions. Last up to 8 weeks. Personally Im finickey so I haven't gotten more than 4. I hate not being able to touch my scalp in certain spots.

I would NOT do fusion/keratin for your first time! Personally I would NEVER do it. I've heard wayyy to many horror stories. Shrinkies are comparable in lasting, but are also tricky as they're an individual method.
