I'm kind of stuck for halloween inspiration this year so I thought it would be fun to share previous halloween pics. Here's me last year.

If this thread is still going after halloween please post this year's photos too

Here's this year. Yeah, I cheated a bit, since I decided last minute to dress up after scrapping a larger costume project.

Took last year's wig, put it up in an updo (using a ton of bobby pins and cheap hairspray), slapped on some skull makeup, wore a skull & crossbones dress, skeleton gloves, fishnets & my "witchy" Demonia shoes & became ~~~ uh, Skull Chick(?). Not really sure what I was...we were seeing a Misfits tribute band.

This year I was a school girl vampire! It was one of those 'it just kind of happened' costumes... But here are some pictures. That's my boyfriend with me; he was a werewolve.

I've been so busy selling my flat and running haircrazy that I didn't get time to make one this year. I used last years costume seen above. Hurray for recycling

Here in the US all the bars (pubs in the UK) have Halloween parties and the little kids (probably up to 12/13 yrs old and sometimes older - there's no 'age limit') have Trick or Treat (begging for candy door to door). I take it that you don't do that in the UK!

I have fun dressing up, but as Halloween gets to be a bigger 'adult' holiday, it bugs me that many people don't put any effort into their costumes. They just buy them at the store (sometimes not even doing any makeup, etc.). I guess it works for some people, but I like making/buying my own stuff and assembling it into some sort of costume, not just buying the kit.

I don't know about that age limit thing about Trick Or Treating.
I went when I was 12 and a lot of adults scowled at me as they reluctantly gave me one measly piece of candy.
Maybe it depends on where you live.
I went again when I was 15 in a different neighbourhood and it went a lot better.
And I haven't gone again after that.
But I've gone to a few parties since then.
Unfortunately I did nothing for this year.
    Too much stuff came up...
