Hey there -

I had to redo the part previously colored red in the front section of my hair. It was a rusty reddish/orange color after only one week. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing any of the Clairol Intensifiers (there are a couple of others) for anything other than boosting a permanent or semi-permanent Clairol haircolor. One week is terrible, especially for a product that is intended for use "prelightened" strands for vibrant colors.

Oh well, I went over the reddish/orange faded color with Napalm Orange (SFX). I think it turned out really well. It's more like Hi-Octane Orange in my opinon, since the red undercolor caused the final result to be more red/orange than yellow/orange. I like it a lot, and know it will last a lot longer than the Clairol product. I used Napalm last year and I needed to bleach it out when I was finally tired of it. Even then, the lightest my hair went was a pale yellow, and obvious residue of the Napalm.

A very excellent combination of colors that look great together. Thanks for sharing this idea for touching up the color you had before.

Thanks. I wish I had taken a picture of how faded the red color was, but I was pressed for time and was watching my 5 month old puppy (he's not completely housetrained yet). I'm really happy with how it turned out and hopefully it will stay this way for a while! I'm frankly sick of redoing my hair so often. I had Napalm last year and it stayed a long time!
