Okay, i took a pretty big plunge everyone! The special effects fishbowl had faded to a minty-silvery-blond color, and of course the atomic pink had almost not faded at all. I bought a box of clairol natural instincts #36 midnight black. I didn't realize this was non-permanent until I got home. The result was a pretty intense raven black color. I'm not sure how much "better" it is than a permanent dye, but nothing has gone wrong so far!(except for some color bleeding)

On a side note: My hair feels very healthy now thanks to that Garnier 3 minute deep conditioner that i picked up the other day. It works wonders, and I really recommend this product!

That's a lovely deep black and it works well with the blonde and pink. Will you keep us updated of if/how it fades?

yeah of course I will! it's got hints of dark dark brown showing through now(been about a week since I dyed it) so I'm guessing it's a neutral color. I think it's only showing like that already because I dyed over some of the Atomic Pink on accident.

I like it. The dark color compliments your skin tone

UPDATE!

So bathroom lighting is bad, and I apologize for color inaccuracies. The color has stayed relatively nicely though. It is still what I consider to be black near the roots, towards the middle it is dark brown and at some of the tips it is light brown(which i'm guessing are the most damaged areas in my hair.) The bottom layer is still pure black though.

it looks really good faded! i think i actually like it better than how it started out.

I like how it looked at first better, but it may just be because I could see all the colors before.
