After a month of obnoxiously faded teal, I decided to try a dye job meant to imitate a peacock. Originally, I was hoping to get some Crazy Colour Peacock Blue, but, unfortunately, due to a lack of money, I couldn't get any. So I had to improvise with whatever Special Effects I had laying around.

In my fringe, I have Limelight (the lighter, brighter green) and Sonic Green. The majority of my hair is Blue Mayhem. My underlayer is a mixture of Electric Blue, Joyride, Purple Smoke, Atomic Pink, and Wild Flower. Oddly enough, what was supposed to be purple, turned out to be identicle to the plain Blue Mayhem. [If anyone has any idea as to why it would do that, I'd love to know. I'm extremely confused about this.]

So I slapped the dye on, left it in foil and under a shower cap for about six hours, rinced, and presto chango, awesome hair.

I'm extremely happy with how it turned out, with the exception of the mysterious blue underlayer. But after about a week, it started turning a pink-ish purple, with is much nicer. It's been fading really nicely (It's been about three weeks. I was having problems with my camera.), the Limelight turning yellow, the Sonic Green just getting lighter, and everything else turning a blue-violet. I just really wish that it could have lasted a bit longer. : /

This was outside after one wash. The green was actually brighter.
Right after dying.
After two washes.

That looks really cool! I especially like the green between the blue and the pale green. It's kinda turquoisey.

    Very nice
As for the mystery - it was the leftover teal cancelling out the purple that turned it blue. If my hair is getting too green sometimes I'll use a purply blue to get it back to a straight blue colour.

That looks amazing, I wish I could do that, but having relaxed hair, I'd probably damage it to no end.
