So far i have always mixed directions plum and midnight blue to get the shade of indigo-ey blue that i love.

It doesn't take long to mix but does anyone know a shade of dark dark blue that they can recommend?

Maybe you'd like Special Effects Blue Velvet.

Indeed, although I haven't used it, I'd say SFX Blue Velvet sounds like what you're looking for, since it's a purple based dark blue.

lolane blue violet is good, its a bit more purple than blue tho.

Blue Velvet and Blue Haired Freak are both darkish.

Wrong, Blue-Haired Freak is not darkish at all.
It's actually lighter than Blue Mayhem.

I like Splat blue, but it's not very dark... more like royal blue. You may have success mixing it with something darker... I'm a stupid fangirl of Splat because it seems to fade more slowly (in my hair, at least) than other unnatural's I've tried.
