Hey! I haven't posted here for ages! (Sorry, I'm rubbish)

I've been Directions Plum for a couple of weeks now. It's a beautiful colour and it last well but I can't help but think that SFX probably do an even more vibrant and long lasting version!!

I've been looking at Burgundy Wine, Deep Purple, Pimpin Purple and Joyride but I find the sample colours tend to be kind of misleading!

Which if these lasts longest and which is closest to Plum? I want a rich rich rich purple. Nothing wishy washy here please!!

Also, when I bleach my roots I'm thinking of putting in a few slices of a contrasting colour. What do you think would work especially well? I have SFX Blood Red and Blue Velvet and Directions Atlantic Blue, Alpine Green and Poppy Red at my disposal but Directions is only £2.99 around here so I'd be open to buying something new.

Thanks :D

Deep purple is rich and lasts a very long time (4 months+ on my hair) but it starts out almost black. If you mix it with some pimpin purple I think it will be closer to plum.
Here's my hair timeline http://haircrazy.info/timelines/Jude/ there's a pic there where I did some pillarbox red slices in plum. Also if you scroll down there's a pic showing plum although it's not as blue as that in real life - you know how camera flash tends to always make purple look blue.
