Does anyone have a picture of hot lava over really multitonal hair? My hair ranges from a really dark brown, to a very very light strawberry blonde (where my highlights got bleached twice, oops) with a good medium-light auburn as the main color. my IDEA was to do hot lava all over, for a very short amount of time... like 10 minutes or less maybe, to punch up the red tones. but now i'm worried it might go too orangey on the bleach highlights if I do that. I've got my wedding in 9 months and know that my highlights can't handle another bleaching for even longer than that.

any one have pics of hot lava over hair like that? or any suggestions? I'm consdiering just trying out an underlayer of it since i really have no highlights there and my hair is a little darker so i don't think it would go orangey...

I'd recommend a strand test since it's likely that the colour will probably make a big impact on the highlights and I hear hot lava fades out orange.
What sort of look are you going for? Like a medium unnatural red with darker and lighter tones?

yup thats pretty much what i'm going for. I don't mind it fading out orange, so long as its a 'naturalish' orange... if that makes any sense.

I think I might try an underlayer where my hair is pretty much all one tone, maybe a streak through where I have some of the highlights.

I'd be interested to see how it looks.
