i know there is no substitute when bleaching your regrowth for going through and sectioning your hair very carefully, but does anyone with long hair have any tips on how you could make this process less time consuming? i've done it many times, but i seem to have so much hair its ridiculous! it takes me an absolute age to section it all and thats before i've even started putting the bleach on. length wise my hair is about 4 or 5 inches below shoulder length.. if anyone has any tips for making it even a tiny bit less time consuming then please let me know! i don't have anyone i can trust to help me do my hair so i always do it on my own. i always end with sore arms by the end!

thankyou

Hmmm, I have pretty long hair (about to the middle of my back) but I don't do my own bleaching (for the time being). My friend who is a hairdresser does it, but this is what I've understood she does. She makes the bleach mixture and then applies bleach to my parting. Then with the pointy back of the brush makes a parting parallel to the previous one, throws the hair over that with the bleach and applies bleach to the new parting and moves through my hair like that. I'm not really sure about the process since I don't have a mirror in front of me when she does it. But of course she's had tons of practice cause she gets it done in like 5 minutes. Hope this helps a bit.

I personally get my roots done it a salon, I have hair thats super thick and I just can't do it myself. Also, to just get the roots bleached doesn't cost that much.

I do the bleaching myself and do that parting thing, but not much in details, in about half an hour my roots are recovered. It has always been very thin and after about 5 years of bleaching, it hasn't grown less strong or whatever, so i guess i'm doing quite well.

Here's me doing my roots: http://haircrazy.info/photostories/doing-roots-white/
This worked equally well when my hair was long and short.
