hello everyone

after seeing some dread falls on the net and knowing there's no way i could afford any, any time soon i decided to have a bash at them myself...this is my first attempt so be gentle but any constructive criticism/ comments would be appreciated...thanks a lot...

a pic with them as a pair of falls and some other wierd set up.......they come down to my waist pretty much but i took the pics myself so unfortunately you can't see the length...but you get the idea...i'm really pleased with them

They look nicely made and sealed So much better than my pitiful 1st attempt

I like the way youve mixed the light blue in too.

What kind of hair did you use?

    thanks
i did have to redo a few...and i had a load of bright pink but i didn't like them so i toned it down to lilac in the candycanes...pink n turquoise are my fave colours and i'm naturally blond (although not THAT blond)

i used KK from X-tensions...jumbo braid...found it really easy to work with...

my hair is actually really long at the moment so i had to make big falls to cover it...i'm getting it cut soon tho as i want to install the dreads myself...

that will also be a first...although i have braided my own hair so i reckon i'll be ok...

    thanks for commenting

Have you seen the Blanket Stitch method of installation?

I tried it on my hair (pretty long at the time) its easier if you have help but its very effective for long hair installations:-

Thats really good, specially for first attempt, they look good too on you, which is always a bonus hehe. Prefer the second piccy,

You deserve extra credit for worshipping foamy

All reference to reality in the above post is pure luck

That looks a lot better than some dreads I've seen made by pros.

    thanks for compliments

i was really pleased with them...i'll look into that installation method thanks

i'm currently halfway through my first order for someone...they only wanted shoulder length dreads and i can't believe how much quicker it is to make them!

will post pics of them once they're done...

    thanks again
