There is dye all over my sink and its been there for years. Anyone have an idea how to at least somewhat lift the stains off the sink? I rent so if they see the sink they will so freak out!

^V^Draw them in w/ beauty and scare them away w/ ugly^V^

Aha I have written a whole article on this:

A cream cleaner and a nylon scourer will lift pretty much any stain from a sink.

straight up cleaning bleach (not hair bleach..haha) and a scrubby pad will get it out. i have had every color stain my tub and sink and it always comes out with bleach and some elbow grease.

Be careful with bleach, I wrecked the ceramic or enamel or whatever our bath is made of with that! Lemon cream cleaner left to soak in then given a good scouring is my all time favourite method.

MR CLEAN MAGIC ERASER!! it really is magic! there was tons of dye and bits of stains here and there all over my apartment (we were there a bit over a year so some of the stains were atleast a year old) and moved out last week. got out EVERYTHING. :) including hair dye stains on walls, the sink, the counter top which was a sucky laminate, and the laminate floor.
