Hi, i will soon be getting some virgin rose and pimpin purple (SFX) dye, im going to mix them together and see what colour i can get, i want something light that isnt just pink.
What i need to know from you guys is if you think magenta/purple hair would suit me? Ive been blonde for as long as i can remember and im not sure if im brave enough haha.
Maybe i could just all some sections of colour and see how it goes?
Do you think i would have to bleach my hair more? at the moment its light but because of lots of highlights so there are some brown roots around, how difficult is it to get back to blonde after dying your hair with special effects?

Hope someone can help me decide :)

I think pink and purple colours are harder to get out of your hair and special effects are pretty long lasting. Your hair looks light enough for those colours so I don't think you need to bleach more. Maybe you could try some on some strands around your face, see how the colour goes with your complexion? That's just a suggestion, I think magenta/purple will suit you anyway.

Thanks :D Ive had highlights so many times some parts of my hair are kinda dark where parts are missed.
I also had my hair cut from chest length to the length in the picture, so some of the grown out parts are almost the entire length of my hair at the back, so i might have to touch them up.
I cant wait for the dye to get here so i can start mixing some colour up :D Cant get sfx in england so a friend of mine from the states is sending some over, think itll take a little while :(

If you are loking for a lght color, those colors are not light shades of red or purple but more of a medium darkness of red and purple. However, they are semi-permanent so the color does and will fade and get lighter after each wash. The shade pictured dies not need to be any lighter for the virgin rose or pimpin purple to show well. Reds and purple are harder to remove than greens and blue. The darker tha color the more time will take to get out if bleach. Fading to a pale shade before bleaching suggest is always better in my humble opinion.

Alternate between streaks/chunks of Virgin Rose and Pimpin Purple would suggest might be a good idea and the colors compliment one another. Suggest if unsure streak the front quarter to frame the face or just the bangs with alternating rose and purple. After coloring suggest takes four weeks to six weeks before one becomes comfortable or decides those colors are just not right when trying a new color or series of different colors.
