I've wanted a mohawk for well over a year, and I finally got one. For some reason, I kept having all of these dreams from January up until recently when I got one XD So I decided to finally fulfill my wish.

My friend Monica helped me shave it in and such the weekend before last, and already my hair has gone through some crazy changes :]

We cut it in, but I didn't have any good hairspray to use. So for the first week, I wore it down and pulled to one side:

The middle part was left over from the last dye-job. We did the sides with two of the same colors (which seemed to remind people of Barney haha).

Well, last Saturday, I bought some Aqua Net, and new dyes (Fishbowl and BAF Yellow). The plan was that on Sunday, Monica would help me dye and put up my hair. The bleaching process gave us a lot of trouble. The colors did NOT want to lift. I knew the Atomic Pink would be a bit of a problem, but didn't know Sonic Green would. I didn't want to kill my hair, so I decided to wait to re-bleach and dye this upcoming weekend. Then, we went straight to putting it up:

I fell in love. It was amazing to finally have what I wanted for so long. But, this made me really want to see it freshly dyed resulting in impatience....

On Tuesday it got the best of me. I washed out my mohawk, bleached it again, and dyed it. There was still some green left in there, but I preceded anyways. There was still a problem though. The blue bled into the yellow, and the yellow bled into the blue XD Resulting in this big green/Eater-y looking mess, and I love it! It's not anything like I was aiming for, but I have a fondness for mistakes :] I even managed to put it up myself! So here are some pictures of it from today:

It's more pastel than anything, but I can't help but love it. I would still like to dye it having my blue stay blue, and my yellow stay yellow, but I'm quite happy with it as is :D

-Sorry for all the writing :P

That's super cute. I wanted a bihawk for a long time with bettie bangs, but I got boring and decided that I want super long hair. Maybe next time I chop my locks off I'll get some balls and a trimmer. (that doesn't sound very good)

A bihawk would be great. I hope you get it one of these days. Hair can always grow back!

And I know whatcha mean about long hair. I was born with naturally curly hair, and ever since I was young I wanted long, straight hair. But I had that, and it was time for a change! I figured that if I still wanted a mohawk this badly after over a year, then I owed it to myself to to start buzzing away :D

Congrats for having the balls to do it
I think it really suits you and the pastel colours really work.
Maybe you could do a how-to for the site on putting up a mohawk.

I could do that. I can try taking photos next time I put it up.

The crazy thing is that it looks really THICK, as in you have a lot of hair. I second funktastic, since this looks like something Bootsy Collins (of Parliment Funkadelic fame) would wear.

I love pastels, but find people react more strangely to them than super bright, vivid colors. I would think the opposite would be true, since they're less obvious. Whenever my hair's been a pastel color, I think more people comment on it (and whether they like it or not)!

Yeah. I haven't had long hair in a while though. The summer before last I cut my hair to my jaw and I've been missing my hair ever since, but growing it out is such a drag.
Another thing that's holding me back is my mom will kill me and while I'm still living in her house I respect her so I won't do it yet.
