Ok so this is my color now and then the picture of nicole richie is the color i want.. does anyone know how i can go about myself to get this color? sorry that the pitures are sideways.

What's your hair history? Did you have it dyed a plum colour before and bleach it out? I'm just wondering where those red tones are coming from.

If your hair is in good enough shape, I'd just say get an ash blonde permenant dye that's a shade or two lighter than your current colour. To really cut through the red, try UnRed or Anti-Brass hair colour additives (available in little pouches at Sally's for a dollar or so). If you do have a Sally's or other hair supply store around, I'd reccomend getting the dye from there, as you can then use 30 vol. developer instead of 40 vol (what generally comes in box dyes). It'll help save your hair a bit.

Depending on the condition of you hair, I would lighten it some more and then dye it with a permanent boxed dye. It will enhance some of the highlights and lowlights in your hair also.
